There are days when I have the urge to shop and and today is that day! Saving money by leaving credit cards at home works on a weekend ---but what if it's a Monday and I am at home and tempted by the convenience offered by online shopping???? Sooooo hard!
I really don't need anything.. but I got glued to the MAC and Sephora website that suddenly I felt my hands itching to click "Add to Cart" and purchase some random makeup ! Agghh - -the temptation in internet is endless- -for me it's the information overload associated to the new makeup trends and I was glued at brushes ($200++ for a complete set?) . So to stop my unnecessary cravings - - I decided to clean old makeup brushes and made them look new again (at least in my eyes)
After 20 minutes of dabbing alcohol to the bristles...wow I saved $200++ and problem solved!
.......but not my craving for some dark chocolates - Oh no! I don't have any Ghirardelli boxed version so let's just make it from scratch shall we?
INGREDIENTS:
1 1/2 cup Sugar
2/3 cup butter
1/4 cup water
2 cup chocolate chips (semi-sweet)
2 teaspoon vanilla
4 eggs
1 1/2 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon Salt
1 cup nuts chopped (optional)HERE'S HOW:
- Combine sugar, butter, and water. Bring just to a boil. Remove from heat and add semi-sweet chocolate chips and 2vanilla. Stir until chocolate melts. Transfer chocolate mixture to a large bowl. Beat in eggs, one at a time.
- In a small bowl combine flour, soda, and salt.
- Gradually add flour to chocolate batter.
- Blend in 1 cup chopped nuts if desired.
- Pour into greased pan.
- Bake at 325 for 30 minutes.
