Teens can burn more than $50 easily at the mall in less than 2 hours! Instead of running around spending on unnecessary things to entertain themselves on a Friday night (or who knows where they hang out), we feel that spending quality time at home with great friends and a freaky scary movie is more appropriate.
Tonight, we have teen bakers - Chef H and our regular JD (our sous chef for the cheesecake) helped us mess up our kitchen as we taught Chef H on how to make cookies (yeah - - he created this on his own) . The result? Cake like texture, not too sweet for the figure conscious and crunchy at the bottom that you will enjoy....

1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) unsalted butter

1/2 cup light brown sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup mashed ripe banana (1 large)
1 cup old fashion rolled oats
1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
HERE'S HOW:

- Whisk together flour, salt and baking soda. Set aside
- Beat butter and both sugars with electric mixer. Add egg and vanilla.
- Place banana and add the flour mixture. Mix until combined
