It's gloomy outside and I am stuck with my computer for the next 3 hours. I thought I'll give myself a treat by indulging into homemade cookies where the tartness of the cranberry complements with the buttery taste of the shortcake cookie recipe.
Recipe from Martha Stewart's cookie cookbook
INGREDIENTS:
1 cup (2 sticks) of butter or margarine
3/4 cup sifted confectioner's sugar
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
2 cups sifted all purpose flour
1/2 tsp coarse salt
1/2 cup finely chopped dried cranberries
HERE'S HOW:
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees
- Combine butter, sugar, flour,vanilla, salt and cranberries. Mix well
- Form into balls and place in cookie sheets. Press a fork on top to flatten
- Bake for 20 minutes
