Mutya Ng Tabakla Queens 2017
June 20th proved to be one of the most star studded night for Tabaco City as 20 Queens compete for the title Mutya ng Tabakla 2017. Hailed as one of the most prestigious LGBT pageant in the country from a city that advocates gender equality in keeping with “Tabaco’s tradition for beauty, wisdom, and charm”
The amazing pageant was opened by the candidates them selves. Each of them garbed in indigenous outfits representing the various parts of the country, all the way from the cordilleras to the Muslim Mindanao region. After the magnificent opening number, the first batch of winners for the special awards were handed out.
After showing off their beautiful ethnic costumes, the girls then battled out on stage on who’s the best in swimwear. Don in a beautiful one piece floral swimsuit, each candidate showed how to strut a swimwear with grace and command at the same time.
Who wears it with most class was the question in everyone’s head as the 20 candidates gracefully swoosh the public’s attention with their elegant red Filipiniana outfits.
TOP 10 Question and Answer
From 20 candidates, the panel of judges which includes the 2014 Mr. International, Mr. Neil Perez narrowed them down to the top 10 finalists.
Each candidate was asked to pick an envelope with a question inside and was given ample time to answer. The candidates tried their best to show how eloquent they are while promoting their passion for their advocacy.
It was a tough decision for the judges. Again they have narrow it down from the top 10, but this time to who will be the reigning Mutya ng Tabakla 2017 Queens.
At the end of the night Candidate #15 was crowned as the Mutya ng Tabakla 2017 Queen with three finalists wearing the runners up princesses crowns.
It was truly a magical night for everyone specially for the winners of the Mutya ng Tabkla 2017. The pageant is one of city Mayor Cielo Krisel Lagman-Luistro‘s project as part of their effort in making the city a front runner and proponent of gender equality in the Bicol region.
